Kèr Gāfqidjig (/gəˑf/ /ˈqidjig/ [instrument; tool; appliance; device; apparatus; weapon; equipment; gadget; fixture] [sharp]) is a subtropical Town located in the Qùkēi̊v Region of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Kèr Gāfqidjig is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr Gāfqidjig was founded by Ioan Lilàbíh, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Kèr Gāfqidjig has a yearly average temperature of 26°C (78°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 29°C (84°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 23°C (73°F). Kèr Gāfqidjig receives an average of 286 cm/y (112 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Kèr Gāfqidjig covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 2776 m (9107 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Kèr Gāfqidjig was founded durring the early 16th century in winter of the year 1547, by Ioan Lilàbíh. The establishment of Kèr Gāfqidjig suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Kèr Gāfqidjig which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

Kèr Gāfqidjig was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Gāfqidjig is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Kèr Gāfqidjig is buildings are arranged arround a network of broad cobblestone streets which form a diagonal shaped grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town posesses a fortified albit thin wall of querried stone. This wall posesses most of the features of a castle wall, though it is constructed from cheeper inferior stone. It would pose a minor chalange for an attacking army, though it's clear the wall's true purpose is to crush the hopes of bandits and marauders. The failry decent fortifications have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

Right off the bat Kèr Gāfqidjig hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. The town is very clearly a joyfull place as well as wealthy. Music can be heard often, as well as laughter. The smell of food and drink permiates the air. You can’t help but smile.

Kèr Gāfqidjig's locals despise outsiders. For some “outsiders” may be natives of foreign lands, while others might have a grudge against anyone from outside the community. These locals have an active loathing, and the outsiders allowed to trade or interact with them do so at a heavy disadvantage.

Kèr Gāfqidjig's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is admittedly strange and non-linear style rooted in defiance of symmetrical shapes. It championed the creation of buildings with a unique visual appearance. the structural norms of classic buildings and deforms or moves away from elementary architectural principles. By including non-linear designs processed into its buildings and favoring fragmentation, this style expressed a form of controlled chaos. Its buildings appear out-of-the-ordinary, draw the eye in immediately and sometimes create a feeling of strangeness. These distorted shapes and structure are not reserved to the building’s outer facade, they destabilize interior elements too, favoring minimalism and play on people’s perceptions by injecting a futuristic touch.

Due to the actions of local Kami, spring is long in Kèr Gāfqidjig.

Kèr Gāfqidjig's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves creating small tokens to channel Conjuration energies of tier 2 via speaking in tongues.
